By using the Products, being the Button and/or the App, and therefore agreeing to the General Terms and Conditions, the Customer accepts the privacy policy of ParkAlert and thereby explicitly gives ParkAlert’s consent to process the Customer’s personal data as described in this Privacy Policy.

Before delivering the Button, as well as before using the App, the Customer will be asked (in direct contact, or in the Webshop) to provide certain data. A Customer is never obliged to enter personal data, such as contact details. However, in order to make full use of the Products, it is necessary to provide a limited number of details, such as a delivery address and an e-mail address. If and to the extent this involves personal data, it will be used by ParkAlert primarily to support the operation of the Products.

By providing this data, the Customer consents to their use in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Furthermore, the data provided may be used to send Customers information upon request, for the performance of the agreements concluded, to maintain contact with Customers and to inform Customers about new developments within ParkAlert.

The data collected by ParkAlert is kept until the end of the contract period. Invoice and payment data are kept in accordance with the legal retention obligation, being seven years.

The App needs access to your location data so that it can be retrieved by your phone in the background. This data is used to determine whether your car is in a paid parking zone. Providing access to location data is necessary to provide the desired service. The location data is stored in the backend system for one year and is only accessed if you contact customer service with questions about your ParkAlert history. The location data is only linked to the ID number of your Button and therefore not to other personal data, such as name and address.

ParkAlert stores all data on secure servers in countries within the European Union. This information is secured and not accessible to unauthorised persons.

The Customer may at any time request access to the data collected on the Customer, as well as request a copy thereof.

The Customer has the right to withdraw, in whole or in part, any consent previously granted to the use of personal data.

The Customer may also request to amend, correct or delete personal data. Complete deletion of personal data may involve ParkAlert terminating, without refund of Subscription fees, its services to the Customer.
